MilliSprout privacy policy

MilliSprout helps you build personal skills by growing a garden. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the choices you have. If you're 13–17, there's a section written for you below.
Who can use MilliSprout
- You must be 13 or older.
- MilliSprout is only available in some countries; sign-up tells you if it isn't available where you live. We don't offer it where the law requires a parent's permission for someone your age to use an app like this.
- When you sign up, we ask for your age range (13–17, 18–24 or 25+) and your country. We never ask for your birthday.
What we collect

We don't collect your location, contacts, photos, birthday or real name. We don't show ads, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
How we use it
- To run MilliSprout: your skills, progress, garden and shop.
- To keep it safe: for example, checking what you write for signs of a crisis so we can point you to real-world help.
- To fix problems and improve the app, using information that doesn't identify you where possible.
Progress, rewards and unlocks are decided by fixed rules, never by AI.
AI features (18+ only)
- If you're 18 or older, some features use an AI service (Anthropic) to write a response: the coach, suggested lessons after a reflection, and the weekly summary. Only a limited set of information is sent: your goals, current skill, a few recent check-ins and practice outcomes, up to five lessons you approved, and recent messages in that conversation. Your full history is never sent. AI suggestions are only saved about you if you approve them.
- If you're 13–17, no AI features are used and nothing you write is sent to an AI service. You get the same skills, lessons and garden, with suggestions written in advance by people.
- The coach offers personal-growth support. It doesn't diagnose, treat or provide crisis care.
- If you tap Report this reply under a coach message, we record which reply you reported and why, and review that reply to improve safety.
Signing in with Google
If you choose Continue with Google, Google asks your permission and then shares only your basic profile with us: your email address, your name and your profile picture. Nothing else.
- How we use it: your email address creates and identifies your MilliSprout account and signs you in. Your name and picture are stored with your account and may be shown to you in the app.
- What we don't do: we can't see your Google password, and we don't access your Gmail, contacts, calendar, files or any other Google service. We never post anything for you.
- Storage and sharing: this information is stored with the rest of your account by our database provider (see below). We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone else, except as described in "Who we share it with".
- Removing it: deleting your MilliSprout account deletes it. You can also remove MilliSprout's access at any time in your Google Account (myaccount.google.com → Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services).
MilliSprout's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers who help run MilliSprout, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Supabase: stores your account and app data, and sends sign-in and password emails.
- Vercel: hosts the app and counts anonymous page visits (no cookies).
- Anthropic: AI responses, adults only, as described above.
- Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google, as described above.
We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect someone's safety. We never sell it.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
- We keep your data while your account exists.
- In Settings you can download everything (as a file), delete individual saved lessons, delete coach conversations (adults), or delete your account. How to delete your account explains each step, including what to do if you can't sign in.
- Deleting your account permanently removes your MilliSprout records. Backups held by our hosting provider expire on their normal schedule (within 30 days).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download or delete your information, and to object to some uses. You can do most of this in Settings, or contact us at millisprout@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Keeping it secure
Your data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to your own account by design, and your password is never stored in readable form. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Where your data is processed
Our service providers may store and process your information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, they protect it with recognised safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes
If we change this policy in an important way, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.

If you're 13–17
We want this part to be easy to read.
- You need to be at least 13 to use MilliSprout.
- No AI. If you're under 18, nothing you write is sent to an AI. The coach is turned off, and suggestions are written in advance by people.
- No ads, no selling your info, no strangers. There's no chat with other users, and no public profile.
- You're in control. You can download your data or delete your account anytime in Settings.
- If something feels heavy, it's okay to stop a practice. If you're ever in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, contact local emergency services or a helpline. MilliSprout will show you some in the app.
